We have years of experience handling claims involving general property and casualty issues, products liability, errors and omissions, as well as death claims. As claims administrators and adjusters, we are uniquely prepared to assist Insurers with claims overflow, run-off business, litigation preparation, expert testimony and independent file audits.


We are licensed independent insurance adjusters with an internationally recognized expertise in fine art and all things rare and valuable. Our team of adjusters are qualified to handle claims within all lines of business.








Robert E. O’Connell

President, Executive General Adjuster


Robert E. O’Connell III has over twenty-five years of multi-line loss adjusting and loss control experience and currently is President of O’Connell International Arts, Inc. He is an internationally recognized fine art expert within the insurance industry with a Masters Degree in Art History. Mr. O’Connell frequently publishes and lectures to the insurance industry as well as the fine art world. His companies, OIA Productions, Inc., and Skipping Stone Entertainment have produced television programs and documentary films on fine art related subjects such as “The Farnsworth House,” “The Art Detectives” and “Monumental Myths”.

He is also the co-founder and a partner in The Architrouve, a Chicago-based fine art space dedicated to the exhibition, collecting and support of Chicago artists. The Architrouve was designed and executed as a response and challenge to the accepted norms of the art experience for the producing artist as well as the viewing public.

Mr. O’Connell is a patron of the arts and an active collector of fine art and fine wine.




William B. Leach

Vice President, National General Adjuster


William B. Leach has a Master’s Degree is Organizational Communication from San Diego State University and a B.A. in Speech Communication from Montana State University, where he was also adjunct professor. Mr. Leach is a multi-line adjuster with significant large scale project management skills and CAT Leadership experience.


Prior to joining OIA, Mr. Leach has worked as an international consultant with expertise in strategic planning, problem solving, and client management. He has experience working with high profile international clients such as, NASA, GE, Pepsi Corp., Motorola and Johnson & Johnson.


Mr. Leach works at our San Diego Regional office, as well as his homes in Bozeman, Montana and Las Vegas, Nevada.


Timothy J. Rudolph

Vice President, National General Adjuster


Timothy J. Rudolph has a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis on accounting and finance from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Mr. Rudolph is a multi-line adjuster with extensive experience in property and casualty claims, risk control and casino operations.


Prior to joining OIA, Mr. Rudolph worked in the banking and casino industries for over 15 years. Within the casino industry, he gained significant knowledge of casino surveillance, gaming technology, loss control and fraud prevention.


Mr. Rudolph works at our San Diego Regional office, as well as his home in Reno, Nevada.


Darren R. Martin

Assistant Vice President, National General Adjuster


Darren R. Martin attended the University of Illinois with a major in Geology and a minor in Art History. Mr. Martin is a multi-line adjuster with practical hands-on experience managing large scale CAT claims as well as risk control assessments.


Prior to joining OIA, Mr. Martin worked within the automobile industry for 25 years.  Within the automobile industry, he gained significant knowledge of management and inventory skills coupled with risk control including workers compensation, property and garage keepers liability issues.


Mr. Martin both works and resides in Chicago, working out of our Corporate Headquarter Office while traveling across the country assisting our clients.


Darci M. O’Connell

Chief Operating Officer


Darci M. O’Connell has a B.S. in Business Administration from Colorado State University and as A.S. in Design from Harrington College of Design.


Prior to joining OIA, Ms. O’Connell worked for over 10 years in client relations within the telecom industry, where she was responsible for account management, revenue growth and business retention.


Ms. O’Connell divides her time between the Chicago Headquarter Office and the San Diego Regional Office.


Victoria F. Nicodemus

Corporate Manager


Victoria F. Nicodemus has a B.A. in Art History and Business Administration from the University of San Diego.


Prior to joining OIA, Ms. Nicodemus has worked at Sotheby’s in their African and Oceanic Art Department. She has additional experiences working at anthropological institutions, where she was exposed to conservation processes.


Ms. Nicodemus lives and works in Chicago, Illinois.
